: pleural cupula also exists, but apical pleura is more common, IMO

Hi Cedric, note the culmen (the small notch) pertains only to the left lobe, while your documents mentions both sides. Hence my impression that the source term culmen is not 100% appropriate here...

Yes, I noted that. The fact that the term, however, is acceptable in an English language medical text is significant. I believe I will use 'apices', since that is what I presume the reporter means. The Latin term, culmen also has the meaning of apex, when referring to the lungs, from what I read in my research. |
