Spanish term
Rectoría de Títulos y Grados
Spanish to English
Social Sciences
Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
University departments in Chile
Hi,
I'm translating a degree certificate from Chilean Spanish to British English and I'm having trouble with the phrase above. Please find it below in its full context:
'...certifica que xxx obtuvo el Grado Académico de Magister en Derecho Laboral por Decreto de Rectoría de Títulos y Grados No. 3-2-3/2013.'
I understand that 'Rectoría' refers to a Chancellor's Office in British English, but from my experience of British universities, that department doesn't really deal with the degrees and qualifications that the "Títulos y Grados" encapsulates. Could someone suggest an equivalent in British English please? Perhaps a literal translation may be best here.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Chancellor's Office concerning degrees and certificates
I don't think that "de Títulos y Grados" refers to Rectoría; I think it refers back to Decreto. The URL below has a set of rules from a Chilean university about awarding degrees and certificates.
