Please inform the meaning of the following Spanish -

"Orden de exhumación y entrega del cuerpo del cadáver,al Oficial del Registro Civil, mismo que fue recibido por el señor X".

My try - The Civil Registrar gave the order for burial and delivery of the body of the corpse, which was received by Mr. X.
I do not understand the meaning denoted by the word "al" in this sentence. Can 'al' ever mean 'by', or in Columbia from where this sentence originated. Just as 'a' after a 'take' verb means 'from'. Thanks

@ dinesh It would help to have more context. The way this sentence is written it can be understood that the order was given to Civil Registry Official or that the body has to be delivered to the Official. Can you tell us what kind of document you are translating and maybe add the previous sentence and the one after? In most LA countries the Civil Registry issues the order for exhumation, however if this is some kind of criminal case the judge could be ordering the Civil registry to exhume the body.
