Bio

I am freelance English
to Polish
translator and interpreter based in Salisbury, UK, specialising in legal and business translations, working
with SDL Trados software. I hold Master’s degree in Legal
Translation
(City University, London) and have an in-depth knowledge
of English and Polish legal systems, which ensure translations I produce are of
exceptional quality, with legal concepts and cross cultural techniques fully
mastered. I have also completed CIOL’s Diploma in Public Service Interpreting –
legal option (English-Polish law), which further enhanced my subject area
knowledge and contributed to my professional development.

I am associate member
of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (Membership No. 025053) and I am bound
by the CIOL’s code of conduct, with clear Enhanced DBS check (disclosure number
001528655207).

My main areas of
legal specialism include
: Litigation, Contracts, Company and Commercial
Law, Property Law, EU and Financial legal translation, Criminal Justice System
(police, magistrate’s and crown courts, probation service and prisons) as well
as Civil Justice System (housing, employment, family, marriage/divorce, custody
of children, personal injury, small court claims consumer rights).

I used to study
Finances, Accounting and International Trade until I discovered my passion for
Linguistics. Now, I work very hard developing my professional experience as
translator and interpreter and I really enjoy it. My next career goal is to
gain specialism in technical translation.

I also love reading,
travelling and gardening and this is what I do in my free time.

Please get in touch if you would like to find out more about my
work and services.
I look forward to a successful working relationship with yourself in the
future!
