My name is Ming-Li (Casper) Kao. I graduated from Department of English, National Taiwan Normal University in 2013. I have over 10 years of experience in English to Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) translation and limited experience in Chinese to English translation. I consider translation as a tool to bridge knowledge and cultural gaps between people, and I am always benefited a lot from involvement in translation projects, to sharpen my skills and knowledge about translation especially. I am easy-going and enjoy working with people from all disciplines. The five years I spent with the editorial team in Engadget Chinese further enhance my communication skills, and I have also learned a lot about leadership from my senior colleagues back then. Professional background aside, I am an avid reader in novels written by some contemporary British and American novelists, such as J.M. Coetzee, Ian McEwan and Philip Roth. As a translator and linguist, I do look forward to help clients bring their products and ideas to people of my culture and language, and I believe clients can find me as an efficient, passionate and responsible person to work with. |
