Translation is the bridge between languages and cultures.
I am an English speaking Canadian. I have been living and working in South America for the last 12 years. My work includes regular translation of documents, letters and memos for various clients. Documents range from monthly reports and maintenance manuals to legal contracts and outlining scope of work for construction projects, all of which have to pass a strict scrutinizing process by management.
I also work closely with clients of both Spanish and English, serving as a moderator or interpreter. I also volunteer my time to translate, transcribe and subtitle TedTalks through the Amara program.
I have lived in Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Argentina. I have enjoyed learning up close and personal the nuances of each different culture and have come to appreciate that the Spanish language has many variations, depending on country and region.
I am currently living and teaching in Mexico City, Mexico.

Soy un canadiense de habla inglés. He estado viviendo y trabajando en Sudamérica durante los últimos 12 años. Mi trabajo incluye traducción de documentos, cartas y memorandos para diversos clientes. Los documentos se extienden de informes mensuales y manuales de mantenimiento a contratos legales y perfilando ámbito de trabajo para proyectos de construcción, todos los cuales tienen que pasar escrutinio estricto de la administración.
Yo también, trabajo en estrecha colaboración con los clientes que hablan Español o Inglés, actuando como un moderador o intérprete. Además, ofrezco mi tiempo para traducir, transcribir y subtítular TedTalks a través de la programa Amara.
