Always wash hands and clean counters where you will be making your child’s formula with a disinfectant cleaning product.
To be safe, bring the water to a boil for 1 minute.
Allow to cool and measure the water for mixing.
Never microwave formula.
Warm formula by placing in a cup of warm water before feeding.
When measuring powdered formula, use the scoop that comes in the can and measuring spoons/cups used for dry ingredients.
When making a large batch of formula, make sure to store in a covered container and refrigerate.
Throw out any formula not used within 24 hours.
