Bio
My native language is Spanish. Attended English Schools (Ivy Thomas Memorial School and The British Schools in Montevideo, Uruguay). Worked for a chemical company in charge of imports/exports, and as its sole translator. As the wife of a diplomat, I lived in Washington, D.C., Cairo and Budapest. Graduated as translator from English into Spanish from the School of Language and Linguistics of Georgetown University. Also in Washington, D.C. I was certified as docent at The National Gallery of Art.
Worked free-lance on multiple fields and was engaged to work as translator by international organizations in several conferences and events.
1989 to 2004 - Chief of Protocol and alternate official translator - US Embassy, Montevideo. 2004 - 2010 - Docent - Business etiquette and Diplomatic Protocol as well as free-lance translator.
My expertise: public relations, protocol and etiquette. I have had rich experience and participation in international meetings as mentioned above and as part of the diplomatic community for over 35 years I am familiar with diplomatic language, formalities, terms, and format of international documents.
