I was born in Italy, Belluno 100 km north of Venice
At the age of 2 , I followed my parents to the Netherlands, where I attended the "kleuterschool" (Kindergarten) in DenHaag. At the age of 7 I followed my parents to Germany, they had there an Ice-Cream parlour, my father, having been a Teacher in Italy talked to me only in Italian, no dialect. So I grew up in Germany, attending all the German school system until I went to University to study Biology and Chemistry.
Unfortunately due to the uncertainties of life I did not finish these courses but opened an Ice-Cream Shop with my wife and their family. Ten years later, when my daughter had to go to school, we opted to go back to Italy.
Since then I work as a freelance for companies that produce Ice-Cream Machines and Ice Cream Products as a demonstrator on Exhibitions throughout Europe.
In this position I also had to teach to customers and sales people and service technicians the technical side of producing Ice-Cream, how to service the Ice-Cream Machines, the build-up of these machines as well as programming them. So I had the opportunity of getting involved in technical matters in Italian, German and English as well.
I made also translations on handbooks for Carpigiani, Cattabriga and Bravo mainly from Italian to German. Sometimes I also make direct-translations Italian German.
I also went to China, Thailand and Japan for my Ice-Cream-Business.
Occasionaly
I also worked for a German company that sold metal profiles for the making of eyewear in Italy, getting this way an acquaintance with the field of glasses and their manufacture. |
