| | | Bio: Thanks to my recent work experiences, at the Secretariat of the First Vice President of the European Parliament, as trainee/assistant first and then as language consultant, and at the Directorate-General for Translation (DG TRAD IT UNIT) of the European Parliament as tr...anslator, my background has really improved. I further developed my ability to work independently, as well as in multi-cultural teams and in high pressure conditions. I got knowledge of how to maintain an important level of organization, administration and responsibility concerning the activities carried out in the office. I used to get over every problem or difficult situation, coming up with practical solutions and I actually know extensively the dynamics of EU policy-making processes.
I was in charge of several tasks in connection with organising meetings and preparing missions; a wide range of other standard assignment: preparing press releases and ménage press relations, reception, filing documents and mail, updating of newsletter, sorting post, travel booking, keeping appointments diaries, various administrative tasks associated with the file management, using office software packages. I am versed in managing information and communication technologies, in supporting communication among working groups, in proof-reading, in drafting/ editing and lay-out of texts. Even though I am not French mother-tongue, living in Belgium since 2009 and due to my master's degree program (Translation and Interpretation - Conference Interpreting), I speak and write fluently in four languages (Italian- French- English- Spanish). Furthermore, I have recently started a pre-intermediate Dutch language course.
Until I have been living in Italy, I used to work for the commercial enterprise of my family dealing with all the administrative duties concerning the organization of the necessary paperwork for outgoing shipment: delivery notes, invoices, pro-forma invoices, transportation documents, incoming orders, etc; I had the opportunity to improve my experience in a customer-oriented support role and in daily office management - building administration, including liaison with personnel, suppliers, service providers and customers.
Since April 2008, I collaborate as freelance interpreter and translator for five international corporations working in the photovoltaic and wind sector. Therefore, by translating a huge variety of projects (engineering, photovoltaic and ICT projects, P&S contracts and so on), I reached an excellent knowledge of all the most important environmental, economic, technical and legislative factors related to European Policies. In addition, my regular collaboration with the European Landscape Observatory Association as freelance translator and interpreter grants me the possibility to improve my expertise in NGO/ EU Policies.
During the university career at the Università degli Studi di Napoli ‘L’Orientale’ and at the Libera Università ‘S. Pio V’ di Roma, I deepened my knowledge of Public Law, European Law, Economic and Environmental Policies and Public International Law, succeeding in all the corresponding exams part of my study plan.
I have also passed the EPSO/CAST/02/10 for Contract agents - Secretary (Function group II), receiving an accreditation by the European Institution.
