Though translating from and to English/Spanish was always inherent to my career, I recently decided to incorporate translation and interpretation ...to my consulting services because it is something I have enjoyed doing voluntarily to help nonprofit organizations with their outreach programs; and because I enjoy helping people who do not speak one or the other language understand each other better. Jamie began freelancing as a translator while he continued to perform with Canada's leading opera companies and musical ensembles including Calgary Opera, Vancouver Opera, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. After several years successfully juggling two careers, he founded Gaston Murdock, which focuses on translation services for the arts, politics, the social sciences and public administration. A self-confessed political junkie, Jamie's translations have appeared in The Mark News and The Huffington Post. He is also a volunteer translator for Translators Without Borders.
