una costruzione gialla a vetri
I've looked at the Proz glossaries and have found 'french windows' as a translation for 'porte a vetri'. Here there is no mention of 'porte' so can I still use 'french windows'? Or should it simply be 'a yellow building with glass walls' (sounds odd!)
Unfortunately, there is no context.

a glass structure
In the absence of any context I would go for "a yellow glass structure". I wouldn't translate "costruzione" as "building" unless I was sure it referred to a building.
