A horse's hoof in which a nail has been driven through the sensitive laminae but not pulled (thus remains in position and clinched), as opposed to a "quicked" or "hotnailed" foot or hoof. Verb = enclouer, noun = enclouûre NO GUESSES PLEASE!

maybe adding lamina would be a good idea, difficult because while pricked foot is a standard, this particular one has no (to the best of my riding knowledge and as ower of two horses) standard terminology
I would even venture pricked foot with embedded nail, the best of luck

Comment: "Thanks for the suggestion. I don't believe there is a standard term, either, and you have to add the "sensitive laminae" part. Tom Stovall (writes articles on the subject) gave a long explanation of pricking/quicking and talked about "nailing the foot" and "a nailed foot," so that is what I used.
