Flemish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial
"Dubbele snelheid = dubbele koers" en "De overkoers wordt beperkt door middel van regelbare stopblokken" bij een machineaandrijving met tandriemen en -wielen.

Ik denk dat dit Vlaams woordgebruik is, misschien een leenwoord uit het Frans? Ik dacht aan 'verhouding', dus 'ratio', maar wat moet ik dan met die 'overkoers'?

path, distance Sorry, I thought it appeared in the Glossary Entry box, but that's maybe on my page only. 'koers' is derived from the French 'cours' and it means path or distance. The regular Dutch word would have been 'weg' or 'traject'.

It's not normally my field, but given the context, it sounds like it might refer to an **overspeed** protection mechanism.
