bijstandszaak

Dutch to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Good morning,

Does anyone know how you translate the Dutch legal term 'bijstandszaak'into English?

Contex: a lawyer is acting (pro bono) for a client who has no income.

Thanks,

More context please We really need to know if this is a case to get social security payments for the client or a case about something else for a client who has no income.

Welcome to KudoZ I see you're a newcomer, so you probably won't realise that we need the Dutch context to give you an adequate answer. Could we have the sentence containing this word, plus the ones before and after it please.
writeaway Dec 27, 2010:
suggest looking up the 2 words separately bijstand and zaak. not all Dutch compound nouns are compound nouns in English

bijstandszaken

Depending on the context, 'bijstandszaak' may also quite literally refer to cases related to the Dutch Wet Werk en Bijstand (WWB).
