Dutch term

nabestelling

Dutch to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s)
Context:

"Deze algemene voorwaarden zijn eveneens van toepassing op uit de overeenkomst voortgekomen na- of deelbestellingen c.q. deel- of vervolgopdrachten."

"Nabestelling" is one out of 4 terms that I am looking for.

So far, I have something like this:

nabestelling = follow-up order
deelbestelling = sub-order
deelopdracht = sub-contract
vervolgopdracht = subsequent commission

i.e.,

"These General Terms and Conditions shall also apply to follow-up orders or sub-orders and/or sub-contracts or subsequent commissions arising from the Agreement."

Discussion

Bryan Crumpler Mar 28, 2011:
"commissions"??? really??? I do not advise using this translation for "opdracht" as it ambiguates the source. You are using "commissions" to imply some form of payment (fees or earnings), while the source uses it in the sense of an "opdracht", as in "commissionINGs". I suggest sticking with "order", "assignment", "task", "job", "project" as your options for "opdracht". They are not "contracts" either (subcontract or otherwise).
Michael Beijer (asker) Mar 28, 2011:
a little more context... "Aanbiedingen, offertes, prijzen en tarieven gelden niet automatisch voor nabestellingen c.q. nieuwe opdrachten."

reorder / repeat order

'nabestelling' can be used in at least two senses

- placing the same order at a later point in time: reorder / repeat order (van Dale)

- placing an order at a later point in time for something different: supplementary / additional order

if you focus on the time aspect, 'late / back order' are further options

from the context I would conclude this concerns 'reorders / repeat orders

this is because they say "Aanbiedingen, offertes, prijzen en tarieven gelden niet automatisch voor nabestellingen"

this suggest it is about the same products

Dank je wel, Sindy. Ik ben momenteel helemaal verdiept in de vertaling van een cursus gebaseerd op werk van C.G. Jung! voor medewerkers van een farmaceutisch bedrijf. Leuk om te doen.
