I'm translating a Call for Tenders and have come across the term 'keteninitiatief'. The Rijksoverheid requires anyone tendering for a public contract to have joined a keteninitiatief:
"Een keteninitiatief is een organisatie van producenten, handelaren, milieu- en mensenrechtenorganisaties en vakbonden. Deze partijen werken samen aan betere internationale arbeidsvoorwaarden bij de productie van bijvoorbeeld kleding of palmolie. Keurt de overheid een keteninitiatief goed (dit heet 'kwalificeren'), dan zal ze geen extra sociale eisen stellen aan het te leveren product. De leverancier voldoet dan automatisch aan de sociale voorwaarden die de overheid stelt."
Does anyone know if there is a specific (US) term for this?

: Whatever the correct answer is, this is not it. This is an initiative from the branch in which the tenderer works, together with other groups, to improve the lot of workers in the less developed countries.
