I've often seen and used "affix" or "attach" a signature, but I've never seen "insert" before. How often is "insert a signature" used?

Signatures are affixed or added to EN legal docs.
It is not just a stamp or seal that or which is affixed and some discussion of such point would have been useful by the chosen few familiar with notarial and actual EN legal drafting practice.
