Creio que o "Campboss" é a função, a bordo das plataformas petrolíferas, que chefia a seção/departamento de câmaras/catering (alojamentos + alimentação).
É mais ou menos o equivalente ao Purser/Dispenseiro a bordo dos navios.
É frequente encontrar "Campboss" associado a "Purser".
