French term

brassage des prises

French to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Systems, Networks Security
Acces au local technique restreint aux seules personnes:
- habilitees a intervenir sur les equipements reseau, les serveurs, la telephonie, et le brassage des prises.

This relates to the duties of security guards who are guarding premises where data processing is carried out. It refers to call-outs of various workmen relating to network equipment, servers, telephone and ???

Is this some sort of junction box? It obviously relates to computers and computer equipment.

patching (connections)

Normally, we would just say 'patching' in EN: patching cables can be plugged between sockets to make connections, which can be re-configured simply by re-patching — i.e. plugging the cables into different sockets.

Strictly speaking, the sockets stay where they are, and only the pathcing cables move; but I guess for a non-technical readership, adding 'des prises' helps make it crystal clear what these people are allowed to do... or not.
