English term

account

English to Dutch Other Business/Commerce (general) tender
As you are aware, unfortunately *** has not been successful in its re-tender for the [company's name] account and the contract has been awarded to ***.
All activities will therefore transfer to ***.
The team has worked tirelessly to retain this contract and, while we are disappointed with the outcome, it is in no way a reflection of all the fantastic work that the team has provided for almost ten years.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank every single person working on the [company's name] account for all their hard work and dedication throughout the duration of this account and in the coming period.

********

Dit komt uit een brief gericht aan de medewerkers van een bedrijf.
Ik dacht aan 'voor rekening van het bedrijf'...

Bedankt!

Change log

May 16, 2016 12:20: Jorim De Clercq changed "Field (write-in)" from "(none)" to "tender"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Kitty Brussaard

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

account

De gebruikelijke term voor verkoopmedewerkers is ook 'accountmanager', klanten zijn bijvoorbeeld zakelijke accounts.
Gewoon onvertaald laten dus.

P.S. met de term 'account' wordt doorgaans niet alleen de klant sec bedoeld, maar ook zijn totale 'rekening' en historie bij het bedrijf: van klantgegevens, bestellingen en openstaande posten t/m verkoophistorie e.d.
