Buenas tardes, compañeros:

Estoy traduciendo una adenda a un contrato que, como ocurre con frecuencia desde la explosión del coronavirus, ya no puede aplicarse en condiciones de igualdad. Me surge la duda a la hora de traducir al inglés el título del contrato.

En español es "contrato de cesión de apartamento para uso turístico". Es decir, un particular cede su apartamento dentro de un resort, para que una empresa lo explote para uso turístico. En un principio usé "contract for the loan of an apartment for tourist use", pero empiezo a dudar en si debería utilizar "transfer" para cesión. La actual versión que tengo no me resulta fluido.

¿Alguna sugerencia?

It would not be rent Rent is the term used in connection with a tenancy agreement or lease. This sounds like a temporary occupation (license to use) so the payment would be a usage/occupation/charge/holiday rental or similar term. In most jurisdictions, if you pay rent you obtain security of tenure - clearly not the case if you are a tourist renting an apartment

What makes you say that? In civil-law systems you can have contracts without a consideration, unlike common-law systems.

I just realised that payment is probably regular, because the paying company is arguing that given there is no tourism due to the current situation, they cannot afford paying rental obligations.

They don't specifically say whether they do or not.

Does the owner receive a regular payment from the company whether or not the apartment is occupied? If so, it's a lease. Otherwise it's a management contract, but "cesión" makes that less likely.

It is a very common clause in a ¨time share contract/dealing.¨ An apartment in a resort can/might be conceded/used temporarly to other owners of a similar dealing in exchange of apartments in other location, not money necessarily.
