Dear all, I want to ask your opinion about this sentence.

I am translating a WC and sink technical and assembly description. In one column, there is this sentence:

"The warranty period is 10 years. Cut Insert is applied. Compatible with ceramic strainer cover."

How can I translate "cut insert" to italian?

I am afraid I don't have much more context, as the rest of the data is mostly numbers and colors....

I am assuming it refers to the assembly process, but I am unable to find a decent equivalent in Italian...
