Non-PRO (2): sindy cremer, philgoddard
When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.
Proposed translations
Approved/recognised/accredited customs agent
They take care of paperwork, plenty of complaints lately on the UK news.
'Representative' is a literal translation, and should only be used in legal texts IMO, whatever the EU says.
Would you have any proof for me please? |

customs attaché in Belgium
Attachés are posted in U.S. Embassies and Consulates and serve as the Chief of Mission’s Customs and Border Protection in-house specialists where they inform and advise the U.S. Ambassador or Consul General on CBP programs and capabilities. CBP Attachés support and oversee all CBP programs in their area of responsibility.

Right at the top of the list you'll find Belgium.
Besides, there are Belgian customs attaches abroad as well:

Discussion
Should we read your question as 'Erkend douanevertegenwoordiger (Belgisch begrip)' or something?
Without context, we have but a vague idea what you're looking for.
The wonderful guide of dummies :) (I love that site haha)

As far as I understand, customs agents/brokers (though the latter term seems to refer rather to a person), are either companies that take care of paperwork and make sure your goods get through custioms clearance or people permanently employed by logistics companies/ports etc. to do the same. I suppose those permanently employed are there because there is enough work for the company to make it worthwhile while agencies are just employed on an assignment basis. Makes sense.

Would you have any actual proof of your suggestion outside of Linguee? I looked that up myself but wasn't entirely convinced.
Are there any actual titles to be found that would match this one?
