"Het gebruik van schuiven in perforatiepersen is in de stand der techniek bekend. Schuiven zijn balkvormige stalen elementen met aan één zijde een zaagtandprofiel. Door twee schuiven met hun zaagtandprofiel naar elkaar te richten en op elkaar te plaatsen, is het mogelijk om door de twee schuiven volgens hun lengterichting ten opzichte van elkaar te verschuiven een andere hoogte voor het samenstel van de twee schuiven te bekomen. Deze principe wordt gebruikt om al of niet een stempel van een perforatiepers aan te slaan en aldus een metalen plaat te perforeren."
This is from a patent application. My client hasn't (yet) sent me any drawings, but I was wondering if anyone here had already come across the term "schuif" in the context of a "perforatiepers".
The literal translations, "slide" + "perforating press" are what spring to mind but I'm wondering if there is a better term for these things?

I get better results if I google for: slide/sliding block + "punching machine" or "punching press" (instead of "perforating press").
