Spanish term

casación

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting EDI, e-billing
SPAIN.I know there are several previous queries for this term, however this tie it appears as a heading in a list of e-billing software strings. None of the several glossary entries from previous queries seem to fit the definition provided by the client in this context:

"Casación for us in this context means to compare the invoice with order information in order to identify differences. If documents don't contain the same information, the invoice won't be accepted..."
Proposed translations (English)
4 +4 reconciliation

Discussion

As I mentioned... None of the previous glossary entries seems to fit with the client's definition. Perhaps the one that comes closest in the context would be "clearing", but I need some confirmation.

reconciliation

It comes from "casar", that is, "matching", "tallying".

I think 'reconciliation' is the term they would use in Accounting:

Note from asker:
I've considered matching/comparison/clearing/checking, but not reconciliation. Interesting...

Thank you, Adrian.
agree philgoddard : This should really be a reference entry rather than an answer, as we've had it before. The idea is 'marry'.

Thank you, Phil. I had already started answering when I realised the same answer was already there. But, yes, I guess I could have deleted it and made a reference entry instead.
agree Manuel Aburto : Agree with Adoración. It's like reconcile accounts.
