Consultation Document for Tramway tender
refers to platform geometry and I think it means the minimum gap allowed for when trams pull alongside of the platforms ... I think. But can't find an efficient way of phrasing this.

"Pose" is a word whose translation will vary depending on what is being "posé". "Laying" would apply to laying of concrete slabs, say (and a whole lot more besides), at the edge of the platform, but we would really need to know what we are talking about.
Could also be "pose de rails", where "laying" would also apply.

: Yes, I think "laying" is the most likely option here.

: As Asker says, do you think this could be more to do with the tolerance in the tram movement when it comes to rest -- is it one of those ones that 'kneels down' to let passengers off?
