This is a sociology paper describing a research project that gathered information on the quality of life of senior citizens using the Delphi survey technique.

My question has to do with the Spanish "vaciado de información". Here is the ST and my preliminary translation:

SPANISH SOURCE TEXT: A través de una _tabla de vaciado_ (ver Tabla 2), se ordenó la información primaria y secundaria obtenida,…discriminando entre información objetiva y subjetiva.

ENGLISH TARGET TEXT: Using a data _collection/extraction_ table (See Table 2), the primary and secondary information obtained was organized under the five fields, differentiating between objective and subjective information.

Data collection? Data extraction? Other?

vaciado de datos One of the paper's authors has seen "dump data", which sounded strange to me until I saw liz askew's answer. Both authors have told me that "extract" is _not_ the correct translation.

Thanks for the feedback, very helpful as always, feel closer to the solution already. ;-)

cells to fill I'm understanding that there are cells to fill to generate a graph or table I think your answer should include some reference to cells/slots to be filled. I don't know if this applies to data extraction.
