Equity carve out: Hierbij brengt een moederonderneming een gedeelte van de aandelen van de dochter apart naar de beurs door middel van een IPO. Zij houdt wel een gedeelte (meestal de meerderheid) van de aandelen in eigen bezit. De carve-out wordt een opzichzelfstaande onderneming met een eigen bestuur, aandelenkapitaal en jaarverslag.
