neutral  Tony M: the trouble is, if 'clignotant' has already been used for 'turn signal', it would be confusing to use it again here for the actual 'flasher unit' itself.

disagree  Jean Lachaud: « turn signal flasher » est « centrale clignotante ». Point barre.

disagree  Tony M: 1) The source text is not talking about the hazard warning lights; 2) this is not talking about the lights themselves, but the flasher unit (as correctly answered by Anthony above)

agree  Tomasso: Flashers yo toujou pou avètisman sèlman, men te vin vle di yon lòt bagay, siyifikasyon angle se sèlman limyè avètisman, pa sèlman nenpòt limyè ki flache.

feux de détresse

Explanation:
the turn signal light refers to the use of one light, either left or right, whereas the flasher refers to the flashing of both lights simultaneously, hence, your hazards lights, or "feux de détresse".

disagree  François Tardif: A “flasher” is any intermittent signal light, be it one "turn signal light" or four “hazard (warning) lights” [sometimes called “four-way flashers”].

Reference: Il faut redéfinir les termes

Reference information:

turn signal flasher or flasher unit, etc. [usually located under the driver's side of the dash, and is wired in-line with the turn signal lever and hazard switch buttons.]
Peut =
clignotant de direction (termino de Renaud); centrale clignotante; relais clignotant...

turn signal light (bulb?)
Peut =
(feu) clignotant...
