English term or phrase: Burn Out
Hello everybody,

How to translate English terms that are constantly used in French spoken such as "Burn out". e;g: Il a fait un burn out.
How to translate "burn out" used in English sentence into French? e.g: she doesn't become burnt out.

Can I keep the same term "burn out" into French?

Thanks

agree  david henrion: oui mais "épuisement professionnel" est la traduction communément admise, c'est assez synthétique comme en anglais et c'est en français. Cette option a donc ma préférence ! On trouvera souvent le terme anglais et la traduction précisée.

burn-out or syndrome d'épuisement professionnel

Explanation:
Burn-out is the most common term in the French-speaking countries. There are tons of books that use the word burn-out like this one which is written by a psychologist https://www.amazon.fr/Burn-out-détecter-prévenir-Catherine-V...

You might find "syndrome d'épuisement professionnel", but you will find fewer entries on Google.

Example sentence(s):
  • De plus en plus de personnes sont victimes de ce que beaucoup considèrent comme le mal professionnel de notre siècle : le burn-out. Un syndrome d’épuisement professionnel qui peut avoir de graves conséquences sur ceux qu’il atteint.
