English term or phrase: Milkmaid's Yoke
Actually, I need the Latvian translation of the Russian word "Коромысло," but I figured I'd ask for the English to Latvian. Generally speaking, this is a carrying pole, like the kind used all over the world to carry loads in counterweight across the shoulders. More specifically, this is a milkmaid's yoke -- a curved wooden bar that is used to carry pails of milk or water. I can find various terms in Latvian for this on the web, but I haven't found one that checks out when I look it up in image search (my only way to verify this since I don't speak Latvian).
