agree  Peter Close: I agree with your suggestion of 'withdrawal' as an alternative. Personally, I prefer 'withdrawal' because 'backtracked' sounds rather informal to me.

  -> κατά μία άλλη έννοια ναι, αλλά σε νομική βάση έχει την συνώνυμη έννοια του deference=υποχώρηση. Κάθε όρος παίρνει την δική του έννοια αναλόγως τα συμφραζόμενά του, δεν το γνώριζες αυτό; Καλή βδομάδα!
