That is because in legal English we would normally translate "mancanza" as "failure" , which does not work well with "rights", as the failure would clearly be of the landlord, rather than of the "right", grammatically speaking, hence the full phrase being posted, rather than the a single word, above - and hence my focus on contextual, rather than word-for-word translation assistance required.

With regard to my use of "LOSS" this was intended to suggest the loss of legal rights implied through the potential failure (i.e. mancanza") of the landlord to allow full legal rights to the tenant, which would result, un-technically speaking, in a loss of the tenant's rights on that occasion.

I am aware of the meaning, but this does not mean that the literal (word-for-word) equivalent can be used in the English context, given the use of other elements in the phrase!

Thanks for information so far. Just to rei-iteratie, I am looking for a good English GB construction to be used in the context stated above, rather than a literal word-for-word translation, which I am always aware of, but which is never my first choice of usage.
