Non-participating Enrollments

Explanation:
As per link below, seems to be a term used in Australia. "We term this type of unit failure a non-participating enrolment (NPE) and define it as a completed unit attempt that resulted in a failing grade and a numeric mark of zero on a 0-100 scale. NPE results can then be contrasted to what we term 'non-zero failures', or failures where a student has achieved any non-zero level of assessed credit for the unit."

Sorry for the typo, it is spelled as in the explanation: non-participating enrolment

-> It isn't. If you read the question, the examples of grades written are clearly not in any specific order. And bear in mind I'm not guessing words that fit. This is an actual grade used, as backed by the link I've attached.

neutral  philgoddard: Maybe, but this gets only a few hits, all from Australia and New Zealand.

-> You're absolutely right. I've read loads of Indian school certificates and I just can't seem to find a single one with NPE on it. Some do have AB for absent. I can also see that most certificates do have the abbreviations explained on the bottom.

NPE 1986 to NEP 2020: Decoding the What, When & How of Indian education policies

Dr. Shrenik

We were celebrating the Green and White revolutions of the late 1960s when

the first National Policy on Education (NPE), 1968

was promulgated. Two decades later following the Telecom Revolution came the launch of the National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986. With the strong foundations of NPE 1968 & NPE 1986 backed by persistent efforts from successive Central & state governments, NEP 2020 is all set to bring about comprehensive reform in education for India’s 260 million school going children.

Significantly NEP 2020 recommends a curricular framework for school education guided by a 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 model — replacing the earlier 10+ 2 model — comprising the Foundational (3 years of preschool + Grades I-II), Preparatory (Grades III-V), Middle (Grades VI-VIII), and High school (Grades IX-XII in two phases, i.e. IX and X in the first and XI and XII in the second) stages respectively
