German term or phrase: Paketanweisung
From a letter written in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1950:

"Als ich Eueren Brief mit der Paketanweisung erhielt, war ich ganz gerührt ob Eurer Fürsorge und ich danke Euch vielmals für Eure Aufmerksamkeit. Ich weiß wirklich nicht, wie ich mich revanchieren kann."

I'm not sure how to translate "Paketanweisung" here. Any suggestions?

Asker: I thought about that, but it seems odd that one private party would send friends a letter along with "package instructions." Based on the rest of the letter, it sounds like they received a gift, for which they thanked the sender, so it seems like they actually received a package rather than instructions. But that "-anweisung" part baffles me.
