Tekst powyżej wrzuciłam tylko jako odniesienie. W tekście, który tłumaczę jest nawiązanie do aplikacji, w której występuje funkcja 'push/pull test', ewentualnie polecenie 'cancel push/pull test'. Ale dziękuję za odpowiedź.

Czy przeczytałaś cały tekst? Gdy klient używa wielkich liter: Modem Lock; Push/Pull test; Point and Peak itd., to możliwe, że w którymś miejscu zamieścił definicje tych funkcji/czynności/modułów itp. Przynajmniej tak powinno być w typowej instrukcji - chyba, że ta instrukcja jest przeznaczona dla doświadczonych użytkowników, którzy już wiedzą, o co chodzi w tych urządzeniu.

Sugeruję nie zgadywać, ale zebrać wszystko, czego nie rozumiesz i pytać producenta, niech wyjaśni. Ja nie mam zamiaru zgadywać.

We are not translating words but concepts within their proper context. For example, popyt translates to demand, like the demand for products and services, which has nothing to do with satellite dishes and their orientation. Here, we are jiggling the dish back and forth by actual push and pull.

The answer might be/can be wrong. Neither of you have the correct answer. The thing which is more sad is that you commenting any such statement?! I don't comment on your successes in different languages. I'm Polish national and have been in the translation business for nearly 30 years. It's obvious to me that you don't understand the Polish language. It's not as simple as you hope. You use ridiculous terminology, your answer is incorrect.

The context are the satellite dishes. It is they that are pushed and pulled to check their positioning

I've been in business for 10 years, and my native-speaking staff has provided similar responses in their own languages as a way to support and develop one another; but, I don't expect you to give it any thought. :-)
